Volunteering Fox is the new on-line site for voluntary projects run by the University of Oxford. There are a large number of voluntary opportunities you can take part in around the University. These include placements at:
The Access Office
The University’s central Access Team coordinates and delivers a number of core projects to reach out to talented and bright young people, who wouldn’t otherwise consider Oxford as an option, but should. We work with young people from state schools, in areas where uptake to higher education is often low. The Access Office is looking for student volunteers like YOU to volunteer for projects with young people who are currently under represented at Oxford.
For more information on our core projects click here.
Colleges
Have a variety of voluntary opportunities you can get involved with including work with schools, running events like arts weeks and a whole host of other things.
Museums
The University Museums are looking for volunteers to help with fun talks, tours and activities for general visitors and for local adult, family and children's groups. For more information about the museums click here.
OxfordHub
The role of Oxford Hub is to connect students with causes. The new student "Community Volunteers" programme (OH:CV) offers all students the chance to get involved with a range of different opportunities across the community and has a focus on creating and supporting student led volunteering projects. The opportunities are based on the needs, skills and passions of Oxford University Students and the level of involvement is entirely dependent on the individual.

OxfordUniversityStudents’ Union (OUSU)
Needless to say there are several projects you can get involved in, here are two of the biggest projects based in the students’ union.
RAG- Raise and Give
RAG stands for Raise And Give, which is exactly what we do with our money. We organise a wide range of events from bungee jumps & sky dives to RAG blind date, themed bar crawls to Mr & Miss Oxford, all in aid of having a good time and lining the pockets of worthy causes. Opportunities can be found through the search facility on Volunteering Fox.
Target Schools Campaign
Target Schools is a student-run organisation aimed at debunking the myths that could put able students off applying to Oxford. We aim to send students back to their own areas to visit schools and give a more realistic and factual account of their own Oxford experience. This is one step towards redressing the balance at Oxford to reflect the diversity and ability in many of our schools. For more information about the project click here.
